I love how David Grant has created a resource for us to better understand one of the greatest books of the Bible, the Gospel of John. I do not know anyone who would not benefit from an in depth read of this powerful gospel. David’s insight, wisdom, and daily questions will give you a better understanding of Jesus and your own relationship with him. I challenge you to take on this journey. No doubt your life and relationship with God will benefit.

As a youth pastor for over 29 years, I really enjoyed David Grant’s Come and See devotional. It walks students through the book of John chapter by chapter in a way that makes it easy for young Christians and teenagers to truly dig into Scripture. The five daily devotions each week help students stay focused on one chapter while building consistent daily habits in their walk with God. I also love that every week includes thoughtful reflection questions that create meaningful conversations for youth groups and small groups.
This would be a great resource for any youth pastor, small group leader, or parent wanting to help teenagers grow deeper in their faith and understanding of God’s Word. I encourage you to check it out. David has created something both practical and spiritually impactful for this generation of students.

As a youth pastor of 25 years, I am always looking for quality resources—and not all resources are created equal. I love David’s work here. “Come and See” is written skillfully with students in mind, and it’s clear that David has years of teaching experience. The way he introduces the Gospel of John, extends an invitation to know God through the text, and helps students learn a daily process for reading the Bible is simple, clear, and highly accessible. I believe students who engage with this resource will not only grow in their understanding of the Gospel of John, but also develop lifelong habits for reading Scripture daily.

Come and See! is the kind of resource I would have benefited from when I was learning to read the Bible and learning to hear the voice of Jesus. David has provided a helpful framework for developing habits of Bible reading, prayer, journaling, listening, and applying God’s word. These rhythms provide an opportunity for the reader to focus on knowing the heart of Jesus and living as his disciple. The book is filled with examples from the author’s life, which provide context for the biblical concepts encountered throughout the gospel of John. In a cultural moment obsessed with hurry, David helpfully invites the reader to find space to engage with Jesus in the quiet and unhurried pace of God’s love. This will be a great resource for youth pastors, parents, mentors, and all who want to practice being present with Jesus.

In my ministry as a youth pastor I knew I needed to get my kids in the Word, but good materials that would engage them and allow the Holy Spirit to begin really speaking to their hearts were few and far between. What David Grant has put together in this study would have filled that bill, I highly recommend it.

David Grant created something our next generation truly needs. Come and See is more than a Bible reading plan. It’s a guide into an authentic relationship with Jesus.
After years in youth ministry, I’ve seen how easy it is for students to learn about God without learning to walk with God. This resource bridges that gap with clarity, helping young people listen to the Holy Spirit, reflect honestly, and respond to Jesus in everyday life.
Simple, intentional, and formative, this is a tool I would place in the hands of any student who wants to grow with Jesus.

I was feeling somewhat spiritually “dry” when David asked me to experience his devotional publication Come and See. Going through it I found the LORD using it to remind me of His unique invitation to seek Him personally. It was a refreshing experience for me. I appreciated the emphasis upon “knowing God” as the goal of pursuing Christ’s invitation. It helped me to focus on Jesus Christ rather than accomplishing a set amount of reading or extended questions to respond to. I found Come and See to be a straightforward, simple and sustainable tool to help me draw near to God and experience Him also drawing near to me. I trust others will also find this tool helpful in their relationship to God.

Come and See! Experiencing Jesus in the Gospel of John by David Grant stands out amongst the many books I have seen on my shelves in a beautiful way. This book takes readers on a thoughtful, interactive journey through the Gospel of John, combining clear Scripture, insightful observation, practical application, and meaningful prayer points.
What I appreciate most is how accessible and guiding it feels. It doesn’t just teach about Jesus it invites readers to truly encounter Him. Whether you’re a new believer or a seasoned disciple, this resource will help you see Christ more clearly and love Him more deeply. I’m happy to recommend Come and See! to our customers and believe it will be a blessing to many.
